The benefit of sitting clear goals objectives is just so obvious, but it took me awhile to understand why people don’t do it.
The best analogy that I can think of is using a car.
Most people get the idea that when you step into your car without knowing where you are heading, then you wont to achieve or get to a particular destination.
Well, exactly the same idea applies to all journeys (including your business journeys).
Here is my unproven theory on why people don’t do this.
Firstly, you need to stop taking action and spend some time planning.
And second, it involves thinking. Most people have a vague sense of what they are trying to achieve but its only when they stop and think that they can turn that vague sense into a specific, timebound objectives.
In order to get clear on your destination in a business context, you need to stop and think about where you are heading and exactly what it is that you want to achieve (your destination).
